Sonnett, Sarah
Sarah Sonnett received her bachelor's degree in Physics with a concentration in Astronomy and minors in Math and Music from the College of Charleston. The next year, she started her M.S./Ph.D. program in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Hawaii's Institute for Astronomy. Going on her fourth year as a graduate student, Sarah's thesis is a study of surface properties of primordial outer solar system bodies. Her spare time is occupied by bellydancing with her Hawaii-based troupe, tap dancing, surfing, hiking/running, singing, and playing instruments. Sarah is greatful for her valuable teaching education through the CfAO and is excited to incorporate this new knowledge into her future career!
